This trip begins by turning off US-220 at mile #105 south of Casper. As you head west on the Bessemer Road (N-308), you can see Bessemer Mountain to the southwest and to the east is Casper Mountain and Coal Mountain. After two miles you cross the river and come to a junction. Here N-111 turns south to a fish hatchery.
Continue west on N-308 for two miles (past N-306 going north toward Casper) to another major junction. Here N-308 turns north and hits the Ryan Hill Road (N-319), one mile south of the Poison Spider Road.
Take N-314 west for one and a half miles (past N-312 going south to a dead end) and the road makes a sharp turn to the south. Here N-314 ends and you travel south for two miles on N-315 to Rasmus Lee Lake. The road then turns west for two miles to a junction. Here you can take the Trapper Road (N-316) north for one mile to the Ryan Hill Road. At this junction, you can see Oil Mountain to the north and to the east is Casper Mountain and Bessemer Mountain.
Turn south on N-316 and after crossing Willow Creek, the road drops down to the east and the river below. The road then follows the river below Clarkson Hill. Here you can see Muddy Mountain to the east and to the northeast is Coal Mountain (below Casper Mountain). After four miles you hit W-220 at mile #94 at the Government Bridge.
